The Tenafly Tigers got production from their entire lineup in an easy 15-3 win over the Santa Clara Vampires. Player of the game honors went to left fielder Gary Corbett. Corbett, who leads the PRL in hits with 97, went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Tom Falck earned the win for Tenafly. He lasted 6.2 innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 7 hits, while striking out 8. With the win, he raised his record to 5-2. The Tigers bumped their record to 25-25 with this latest triumph.
In the top of the third, Ryan Dyer took a fastball from Rob Sparks and pounded a 2-run home run to left. It put Tenafly on top, 2-0. For the game, Dyer went 1 for 5 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2.
Corbett called the game "anything but a nail-biter."
