Villa Goes Off, But Mustangs Win
The Downsview Mustangs overcame a good performance by Montreal third baseman Roberto Villa to knock off Montreal, 15-12, at Nezahualcoyotl HS Grounds. Villa went 4-5 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 6. Downsview bumps their record to 20-28 with the win.

Karl Holman said the idea of hitting a home run barely crossed his mind when he came to bat in the top of the ninth. Holman belted a 3-run home run to stake Downsview to a 14-11 lead. His 3rd home run of the season came off Montreal pitcher Steve Mauger.

Montreal manager Hector Corretjer said he was disappointed with the loss. "Whenever you score that many runs, you expect to win the game."
