Saucedo, Panthers Fall to Jaguars
The Pleasantville Panthers and Jacksonville State Jaguars brought some excitement to Stealth Ballpark.

Pleasantville catcher Luis Saucedo had a good game, even if his team did not. The Panthers dropped a 11-9 decision to Jacksonville State at Stealth Ballpark. Saucedo slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. Jacksonville State reliever Brad Pope got the win, raising his record to 4-0. Mike Marleau was tagged with the loss. Paul Robinson finished the game for Jacksonville State and earned his 1st save.

Erik Zacharias chipped in for Jacksonville State, stroking a crucial run-scoring single in the top of the second inning. For the game, the right fielder was 1 for 6.

Jaguars manager Jeromy Hager wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."

The third-place Jaguars raised their record to 23-25.
