Tigers Win Slugfest, 14-10
The Tioga Central Tigers defeated the Pitman High Panthers, 14-10, at Alleycats Ballpark today. Leading the charge for Tioga Central was third baseman Marcus Francis. He was 2-5 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Tioga Central reliever Ryan Allen got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Cesar Flores was tagged with the loss. Tioga Central goes to 21-24, Pitman High to 29-16.

Francis contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Tioga Central in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 5-4, Francis took a slider from Cesar Flores and stroked the home run to left. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Tigers to leap in front, 8-5.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Francis.
