Best Player Named by Pacific League Wednesday, May 31st, 2028 "Words can't quite express how it feels right now," was the comment Hirotsugu Abe of the Chiba Lotte Marines made today after being named the 2028 Silver Slugger Award recipient. "It's an honor to join the list of the other fine players that have won this award." Abe smacked opposing pitchers around for a .308 batting average and a .444 on-base percentage this year, tallying 10 doubles, no triples, 18 home runs, 52 RBIs and 67 runs scored. Netro Karsumaatmaja of the Chiba Lotte Marines finished second in voting, while Gui-fan Teng of the ORIX Buffaloes finished third. |
