Ikarashi Named CL's #1 Hurler Tuesday, May 30th, 2028 19-year-old Izumo Ikarashi of the Chunichi Dragons put together a good year in 2028 for such a young player. Ikarashi was named today as the winner of the Central League Cy Young Award. Ikarashi crafted an impressive 7-0 record and a 1.00 ERA. In 72.1 innings he allowed 41 hits, struck out 104, and walked 18. Hung-chang Kuang of the Chunichi Dragons finished second in voting, while Yoshino Nakagawa of the Yomiuri Giants finished third. |
