Chávez Bounced, Tokyo Yakult Looks for New Skipper Sunday, May 21st, 2028 In an expected move, the Tokyo Yakult Swallows fired manager Tony Chávez today. The team had not been performing up to expectations and it was just a matter of time before the move was made. "We've decided to go in a different direction," Tokyo Yakult's general manager explained to the assembled press. "We'd like to thank Tony for his service and wish him well in the future." The organization has been mum on possible candidates for the position, but expect to name a replacement soon. Taking over on an interim basis will be the club's pitching coach. |
