Golden Eagles Come up Short of Playoffs Wednesday, May 10th, 2028 The Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles will soon be packing their bags and heading home for the year. This season won't contain a playoff run for the club, as Tohoku Rakuten was mathematically eliminated from playoff contention today. The Golden Eagles have missed the playoffs 12 times in their 16 years as a NIPPON BASEBALL LEAGUE franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 2nd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2026. In the last 10 seasons, the Golden Eagles have missed the playoffs 8 times. |
