Yoshitaka Noda Hurt, Out for Year Thursday, May 4th, 2028 The doctors have spoken and Yoshitaka Noda of the Chunichi Dragons didn't like what he heard. The 19-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Noda sustained his season-ending injury during the Hiroshima Toyo Carp game yesterday at Ballpark of Nakashibetsu College. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Chunichi medical staff reported Noda had a torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 15 months. For the year Noda has 19 relief appearances and a 1-0 record with 4 saves. He has logged 39.1 innings and allowed 39 base hits. Opposing clubs have put up a .252 batting average against him. Noda has rung up 44 strikeouts, surrendered 34 walks and fashioned a 5.72 ERA. |
