Dragons Hurler Named CL's #1 Starter Monday, May 1st, 2028 There's something about a young rookie winning the Central League Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Izumo Ikarashi, a 18-year-old starter for the Chunichi Dragons. In April, he topped off the month with a 3-0 mark and 0.94 ERA in 5 starts, tossed 28.2 innings, fanned 48 and held opposing teams to a .175 average. To this point in the season Ikarashi has 6 wins and no losses and a 0.86 ERA. |
