Carp Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Tuesday, April 25th, 2028 Yasukazu Kouda said it's going to be "an awfully long offseason" after his team missed the NIPPON BASEBALL LEAGUE playoffs. The club came close, but ultimately has run out of games to secure a postseason spot. Hiroshima Toyo last appeared in the postseason in 2025. This is their 3rd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 13 times in their 16-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Carp have missed the playoffs 9 times. Hiroshima Toyo last won the Japan Series Championship in 2014. |
