Suzuki Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits
Saturday, April 8th, 2028
Yoshihiro Suzuki found his groove in today's game versus the Hiroshima Toyo Carp and wrote his name in the league record book. His 5-for-6 performance at the plate unfortunately wasn't enough for the Tokyo Yakult Swallows, as the club lost the game, 8-7.
The 19-year-old first baseman told the press "it was one of those days where everything clicked."
"I made solid contact, and the ball dropped in," Suzuki said.
Yoshihiro Suzuki singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.
This year Suzuki has hit at a .379 clip with 23 RBIs, 4 home runs and 20 runs scored.
