Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Ha
Monday, March 27th, 2028
The Dragons won the game today, but you would have been hard pressed to find anyone talking about it. The focus seemed to be on catcher Yeong-suk Ha extending his hitting streak to 20 games by going 2-for-4 in the game.
"Sure we are happy that we won, but seeing Yeong-suk extend his streak was also special," said a jubilant Chunichi manager. "He's a special player who is capable of doing some amazing things at the plate."
For the record, the Dragons defeated the Tokyo Yakult Swallows 8-5 at Rebels Ballpark. Yeong-suk Ha struck out in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Kakuzo Hoshino in the 4th, was hit by a pitch in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Masutaro Inoue in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
In the current season, Ha has put up a .372 batting average with 35 hits, 6 home runs, 24 RBI and scored 25 runs.
