Saitama Seibu Ace Wins PL Cy Young Award Sunday, May 30th, 2027 He's in the early phase of his career, but this past season Kazuhiro Kamida performed like a veteran on the hill for the Saitama Seibu Lions and walked away with the Pacific League Cy Young Award in the process. The 19-year-old Lions star fashioned a 8-1 won-loss record in 2027 with a 1.80 ERA. In 65 innings of work and 12 starts, Kamida struck out 78 while giving up 55 hits and 15 walks. He held opposing batters to a .223 average. Katsuyuki Noguchi of the Chiba Lotte Marines finished second in voting, while Kenji Ito of the ORIX Buffaloes finished third. |
