Chiba Lotte Snaps Seki's Streak at 22 Saturday, May 8th, 2027 Toshinobu Seki of the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks came up empty at the plate today and went hitless in 3 at-bats. That put a quick end to his 22-game hitting streak. To make matters even worse, Fukuoka SoftBank dropped the game to the Chiba Lotte Marines 11-8. In a postgame comment Seki told the press, "It was not a good day today. We lost the game and the streak is over." To date, Seki has collected 59 hits for a .303 average. He has posted 12 home runs, scored 36 runs and driven in 46 runs. |
