PL Star of the Week Named Monday, April 5th, 2027 So far in his young career, Morihiro Yamasaki has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Pacific League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 21-year-old Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles catcher hit at a torrid .625 clip as he collected 10 hits in 16 at-bats, 1 home run, 6 RBIs and 8 runs scored. This season Yamasaki has hit at a .368 clip with 25 RBIs, 7 home runs and 23 runs scored. |
