Monarchs Chill Graham's Hot Streak
Wednesday, April 26th, 2028
It was the best of both worlds for the London Monarchs today at Drummondville College Grounds as they defeated the Niagara Stars 2-1 and also ended Garry Graham's 26-game hitting streak. The 18-year-old Niagara shortstop failed to get a hit in 3 at-bats.

"Nothing personal against Garry, we just wanted to win the game," said the victorious Monarchs skipper. "We did a great job keeping him off balance and guessing."

When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Graham frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about my streak ending, but I would feel much better about things if we had won the game."

For the season, Graham is hitting at a .306 clip with 10 home runs, 38 RBIs and has scored 32 runs. He has 55 hits, 20 walks and a .397 on-base percentage.
