Dominant Years Win Munier LBL Silver Slugger Award Sunday, June 13th, 2027 Not only has Dave Munier been named winner of the 2027 Lester B. Person League Silver Slugger Award, he's done it at an age when many of his peers are still trying to establish themselves in CANADIAN BASEBALL LEAGUE. "I feel fortunate to win this award at age 19," he said. "I feel like I still have my best years ahead of me. Hopefully I can put my name on this trophy a few more times." The Niagara Stars ace had a 10-3 record over 13 starts and 72.1 innings. He struck out 84, issued 20 walks and had an impressive 1.87 ERA. Batters hit only .181 against him during the season. Jen-kan Yi of the Niagara Stars finished second in voting, while Bill Neville of the London Monarchs finished third. |
