Bang-up Game: Yi Slams 3 Homers
Tuesday, April 20th, 2027
Three home runs in a game doesn't happen often. When it does it is something special to celebrate. And Jen-kan Yi of Niagara can celebrate it. He is now a member of the select group of players, who have hit three home runs in a single game. He powered three into the stands today at Corvettes Ballpark against the Calgary Outlaws.

In all he was 4-for-5 as the Stars toppled Calgary 19-9, knocking in 7 runs and scoring 3 times.

Yi told reporters after the game, "It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run. Most of the time you fail, if you really try to hit one. But today I tried on the last one."

His manager added, "He is blessed with a natural home run swing. He gets the ball up in the air."

Jen-kan Yi hit a solo-shot off Marcel Morvan in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Marcel Morvan in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Frank Simms in the 5th, walked in a run in the 6th, walked in the 8th and singled in the 9th.

Thus far this season in 37 games Yi is batting .309 with 14 home runs, 37 RBIs and 37 runs scored. He has 46 hits in 149 at-bats.
