Hit Streak Now at 25 for Chaulk Tuesday, April 20th, 2027 And the hits just keep on coming -- especially off the red-hot bat of Frank Chaulk. The Heat center fielder got 2 hits in 6 at-bats in today's 14-10 triumph over the Saskatoon Legends at Ballpark of Red Deer College. Chaulk has now hit safely in his last 25 games. Asked by the press, how it feels to go through something like this, he replied, "the longer it goes on, the more the pressure intensifies. The press coverage can get relentless at times. I wish I could just go out and play the game without all this distraction, but I know that's not going to happen. I know I will just have to grin and bear it." Frank Chaulk grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Tom Braden in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. To date Chaulk has chalked up a .306 average with 9 home runs, driven in 37 runs and scored 33 times. |
