Rod Dedeaux League Best Pitcher Chosen Monday, June 5th, 2028 This season's Rod Dedeaux League Cy Young Award trophy went to Dennis Montgomery, the ace of the Mississippi State pitching staff. He dominated all season, finishing with 5 wins and 2 losses and a 1.78 ERA. In 11 starts he worked a total of 60.2 innings, striking out 84, while walking 10. Other clubs managed to hit only .193 against him. Andy Dasher of the UCLA Bruins finished second in voting, while James Crowe of the Stanford Cardinals finished third. |
