Owen Stretches Hit String to 32 Friday, May 12th, 2028 The Owls 19-year-old catcher Kent Owen has been on a tear for several weeks and his hitting streak is getting longer. The streak is now at 32 games after he went 3-for-3 as Rice got the best of LSU 9-8 today at Toughkenamon College Fields. Kent Owen walked in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, walked in the 6th, was hit by a pitch in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 9th. So far this year Owen is hitting .411 with 4 home runs. |
