Mitchell Smashes 3 Homers for Michigan Friday, May 5th, 2028 The Wake Forest Demon Deacans won't soon forget the display of raw power put on today by Jeff Mitchell of the Michigan Wolverines. He victimized the Demon Deacans by pounding three pitches out of Cypress Quarters College Grounds to spark his club to a 11-7 win. "I got three pitches down the pipe and popped them," Mitchell told reporters. "Today I was in a groove. Tomorrow, I could just pop up the same pitches and go 0-for-3." In addition to the homers, he collected 7 RBIs and scored 3 runs. Jeff Mitchell flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Bryce Wilkinson in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Jeremy Cole in the 7th, hit a two-run home run off Lanny Albert in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 9th. This season Mitchell has hit at a .468 clip with 51 RBIs, 17 home runs and 40 runs scored. |
