Season-Ending Injury for Jim McCormick
Monday, May 1st, 2028
The season is apparently over for Jim McCormick. The Oklahoma Sooners medical staff informed the club that the reliever will be out at least 13 months with a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. McCormick was hurt in the game against Tennessee while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season.

This season Jim McCormick has made 15 relief appearances, saving 2. His record is 1-0 with 21 strikeouts in 16.2 innings and a 1.62 ERA.
