Player of the Week: UCLA's Pierce Monday, May 1st, 2028 Willis Pierce swung a blistering bat last week for UCLA, rapping out 14 hits in 31 at-bats against Bruins opponents to propel himself to the Rod Dedeaux League Player of the Week Award. Whenever the first baseman hit the ball, he hit it with authority. The 19-year-old racked up a .452 batting average with 7 home runs, 17 RBIs and 12 runs scored. In his season totals Pierce has 19 home runs and a .384 batting average. |
