Butler Wins SBL Player of the Week Monday, May 1st, 2028 So far in his young career, Jeff Butler has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Skip Bertman League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 19-year-old Tennessee Volunteers catcher hit at a torrid .481 clip as he collected 13 hits in 27 at-bats, 5 home runs, 12 RBIs and 8 runs scored. This year Butler is batting .359 with 19 home runs and 43 RBIs. In 27 games he has scored 29 times. |
