North Carolina's Jenkins Sidelined for Season
Sunday, April 23rd, 2028
"I'm frustrated right now," said North Carolina reliever Josh Jenkins. "I can't help this team by sitting on the bench or in the training room." Unfortunately for the Tar Heels, that's where he will be spending 5-6 months. Jenkins suffered radial nerve compression in today's game against Missouri while throwing a pitch. "Believe me," he said, "I won't be out a day longer than I have to be."

So far this season, in 10 relief appearances Jenkins has compiled an ERA of 3.38. He has pitched 18.2 innings, struck out 17, walked 16 and registered no saves.
