Seminoles Theodore Spears Down and Out for Year Monday, April 17th, 2028 The doctors have spoken and Theodore Spears of the Florida State Seminoles didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Spears sustained his season-ending injury during the Oklahoma State Cowboys game yesterday at Canaries Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Florida State medical staff reported Spears had a torn triceps and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months. This year Spears has made 8 relief appearances with no saves. In 13.1 innings, he has permitted 15 hits, fanned 16 hitters and recorded no wins and no losses with a 6.07 ERA. |
