Star of the Week Awarded in SBL Monday, April 17th, 2028 So far in his young career, Jeff Butler has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Skip Bertman League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 19-year-old Tennessee Volunteers catcher hit at a torrid .450 clip as he collected 9 hits in 20 at-bats, 7 home runs, 13 RBIs and 10 runs scored. Butler on the season is batting .328 with 13 home runs. His totals include 30 RBIs and 20 runs scored. He has played in 18 games. |
