Smashing Success: Lindsey Wallops 3 HR
Friday, April 14th, 2028
Texas Longhorns first baseman Steve Lindsey had a magnificent game against the Long Beach State 49'ers today, rocketing three balls out of Ballpark of Macclenny College to help the Longhorns take the 9-8 victory.
"I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes."
For the game, Lindsey went 3-for-5 with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Texas manager Susumu Kawashima said later. "Seems like Steve found his home run stroke today."
Steve Lindsey struck out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Steven Duncan in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Steven Duncan in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Roger Fletcher in the 9th.
Presently Lindsey is batting .316 with 9 home runs and 19 RBIs. He has played in 18 games and scored 16 times.
