Super Swinger -- Thompson Slams 5 Hits Monday, April 10th, 2028 Reed Thompson was smoking all game at the plate, but couldn't finish his day with a victory cigar. After the 19-year-old Arizona State Sun Devils center fielder tallied 5 hits in 6 at-bats, he was forced to watch as his club dropped the 5-4 decision to the Mississippi State Bulldogs. "That was no fun," Thompson said to reporters after the game. "You hate to lose any game but it's even worse somehow to feel like you did enough to win." Reed Thompson doubled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, walked in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th, struck out in the 11th, singled in the 13th and singled in the 15th.
