Ruckus Reaps 3-Game Suspensions Saturday, May 8th, 2027 Yesterday at Ballpark of Bloomfield College Darby Butler and J.J. Crawford got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Ohio State Buckeyes and Miami Hurricanes. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified both ballclubs that Butler and Crawford would be given 3-game suspensions for fighting. Butler is batting at a .259 pace this season, picking up 22 hits in 85 at-bats with 2 home runs, 8 RBIs and 7 runs scored. This year Crawford has posted a 0-5 mark in 8 starts and has a 6.23 ERA. |
