Walder Tops All, Wins AHL Silver Slugger Award Friday, October 27th, 2028 When you have the type of year Daryl Walder did, it's no surprise when you get named the recipient of the Silver Slugger Award. The 21-year-old captured the award for the August Herrman League today, after a year in which the Westside Road Warriors pitcher excelled. In 34 starts he piled up 197.2 innings, had 281 strikeouts with 48 walks and a 2.50 ERA. Walder held opposing hitters to a .199 batting average and compiled a 5.3 WAR along the way. Clarence Anderson of the Bel Air Princes finished second in voting, while José García of the Westside Road Warriors finished third. |
