Cottle Raps Palm Beach for 5 Hits Sunday, September 10th, 2028 Whitewater Eagles right fielder Jonathan Cottle had a day to remember at The Aerie today, ripping apart the Palm Beach Bums and sparking the Eagles to a 8-0 victory. Cottle wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-5. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Cottle told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid that." Jonathan Cottle singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
