Ridin' High: Shimizu Hits for Cycle Thursday, August 10th, 2028 Katsuhiko Shimizu had a special day at Saints Ballpark today, contributing to the Winfield Warriors' 9-5 win and hitting for the cycle along the way. The 19-year-old shortstop went 4-for-4, raking a single, double, triple and home run against the St. Paul Saints. "Boy, Katsuhiko had himself a ballgame, didn't he?" Winfield manager Alan Hall said later. "You don't see that very often." For the day, Shimizu finished with 2 runs batted in and 3 runs scored to go with his 4 hits. Katsuhiko Shimizu doubled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Taheiji Ohayashi in the 3rd, tripled in the 6th and singled in the 7th. This season Shimizu is hitting .326 with 3 home runs.
