Padilla Blisters Boise Thursday, August 10th, 2028 José Padilla exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Grand Canyon Valley Park. The Eugene left fielder had a field day in the 19-5 triumph over the Boise Bloodhounds, finishing 5-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is pretty simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Padilla must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. José Padilla singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, walked in the 6th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
