Kubel Goes 5-for-6 Against Boise Thursday, August 10th, 2028 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Andreas Kubel today. Kubel went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Boise pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond at Grand Canyon Valley Park, he had a 5-for-6 line and a day he will long remember. And the Eugene Emeralds had a 19-5 victory over the Bloodhounds. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Andreas Kubel singled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, hit a two-run double in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off Robinson Merrado in the 9th.
