Week's #1 Player: Kansas City's Hernández Monday, July 31st, 2028 So far in his young career, Jorge Hernández has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the August Herrman League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 18-year-old Kansas City Blue Spaders catcher hit at a torrid .609 clip as he collected 14 hits in 23 at-bats, no home runs, 6 RBIs and 4 runs scored. Presently Hernández is batting .260 with 32 hits and 2 home runs. He has knocked in 15 runs and scored 12 times. |
