Roberts on Fire, 5-for-5 Against Stroudsburg Sunday, July 30th, 2028 No matter what the Stroudsburg Shade threw at him today, Troy Roberts hit it. He easily handled Shade pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Sting to a 8-3 triumph at Tim Raines Stadium. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Roberts's quip, Shade skipper Raúl Pérez said he "would take him up on that next time." Troy Roberts hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Martín Pérez in the 9th. So far this season Roberts is batting .282 with 3 home runs, 35 RBIs and 27 runs scored. He has 62 hits in 220 at-bats, 39 walks and a .404 OBP. Roberts has played in 69 games.
