League Gives Chiu and Jian 2-Game Suspensions
Saturday, July 29th, 2028
One player challenged the other with some angry words at the Bums-Eagles game at Envoys Ballpark yesterday. There was some pushing and shoving -- then the dugouts emptied. There was a lot of scuffling, but no punches thrown. When order was finally restored and the dust settled, the umpires ejected Palm Beach's Xing-hua Chiu and Whitewater's Ah-cy Jian.
Now both antagonists will get some time off, courtesy of the league commissioner. They were suspended 2 games for inappropriate and aggressive behavior.
This season in 13 games, Chiu has hit at a .206 clip with 7 hits, 2 home runs, 4 RBIs and 4 runs scored.
This year Jian has registered 1 save in 13 relief appearances. He has also compiled a 0-3 won-lost mark with a 3.72 ERA. In 19.1 innings he has fanned 21.
