AHL Star of the Week Named Monday, July 3rd, 2028 So far in his young career, Kumanosuke Ota has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the August Herrman League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 22-year-old Springfield Capitals right fielder hit at a torrid .333 clip as he collected 8 hits in 24 at-bats, 3 home runs, 9 RBIs and 8 runs scored. For the year Ota is batting .298 with 53 hits and 8 home runs. He has scored 33 times and driven in 38. |
