Chippewa's Tong Snaps up June Batting Award Saturday, July 1st, 2028 Chippewa River Chiefs fans may just have witnessed a star player blossoming before their eyes in June. Wang Tong put up a remarkable month at the age of 22 and has been named the Buck O'Neil League Batter of the Month. For the month, Tong hit .345 with 6 home runs, 15 RBIs and 17 runs scored. So far this year Tong is batting .306 with 10 home runs, 39 RBIs and 48 runs scored. |
