Shinohara Sensational, 5-for-5
Monday, May 8th, 2028
Some days you can't win for losing. Just ask Kiyoshi Shinohara -- he was the King of Swing against the Bums, but his Shade were beaten 7-3 anyway.
The Stroudsburg second baseman had 5 chances against the Palm Beach and delivered 5 hits in a sensational game.
"Unbelievable feeling," he told the press. "It felt great to be hitting like that, but a downer when you look at the scoreboard. 5-for-5 does wonders for your confidence, but it's a shame we couldn't win, too."
Kiyoshi Shinohara singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
So far this season Shinohara is batting .272 with 5 home runs, 19 RBIs and 15 runs scored. He has 34 hits in 125 at-bats, 12 walks and a .338 OBP. Shinohara has played in 33 games.
