Bungay Sticks it to AHL Pitchers Monday, April 24th, 2028 The top batter in the August Herrman League last week was Jim Bungay, who batted .520 and towered above everybody with a 7-game hitting barrage. During the week Bungay banged out a .520 batting average (13-for-25), 2 home runs, 12 runs batted in and scored 4 runs. Today the Austin third baseman received the AHL Player of the Week Award. This season Bungay has delivered 26 hits in 75 at-bats for a .347 average with 3 home runs. He is getting on base at a .412 clip and his totals also include 20 RBIs and 9 runs scored.
