Manager Moreno Gets Walking Papers in Grand Canyon Saturday, January 1st, 2028 When your team is not doing well, what do you do as a general manager? You can't fire the team or fire yourself, so you do the next best thing on the list -- fire the manager. That's exactly what the Grand Canyon ValleyCats GM did -- he fired Bernardo Moreno today. In the press conference the ValleyCats GM used all the old cliches about why change was needed. He also praised Moreno in glowing terms and said he would remain a vital part of the Grand Canyon organization. As far as firings go, this was a harmonious parting. |
