BOL Announces August's Best Starter Wednesday, September 1st, 2027 There's something about a young rookie winning the Buck O'Neil League Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Josuke Fujihara, a 20-year-old starter for the Chippewa River Chiefs. In August, he topped off the month with a 4-0 mark and 2.06 ERA in 6 starts, tossed 35 innings, fanned 33 and held opposing teams to a .202 average. Fujihara has posted a 10-7 record for the year with a 3.49 ERA. Teams are hitting .232 against him and he has rung up 141 strikeouts in 144.1 innings. |
