Okawa Chosen #1 Player Monday, August 2nd, 2027 It was a fantastic week for Baltimore right fielder Yasujiro Okawa and it was capped off today with the announcement that he was named the winner of the Buck O'Neil League Player of the Week Award. Last week Okawa hammered the ball at a torrid .458 pace, going 11-for-24 with 3 home runs, 12 RBIs and 9 runs scored. This year Okawa is hitting .214 with 9 home runs and 45 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .263 clip and scored 35 runs. |
