June's #1 Hurler Announced: Méndez Thursday, July 1st, 2027 In June, António Méndez tore through the August Herrman League like a seasoned veteran -- quite impressive for a player only 20 years old. The young Houston starter posted a 4-0 mark and an ERA of 1.50 to earn the Pitcher of the Month award. In 30 innings he collected 48 strikeouts while limiting the opposition to a .155 average. Over the season Méndez has thrown 75.1 innings and dished out 107 strikeouts with a 6-3 mark and a 4.18 ERA. |
