Road Warriors SP McConnell Out Tuesday, June 22nd, 2027 Pat McConnell at first refused to leave today's Whitewater-Westside game after he suffered a torn rotator cuff while throwing a pitch. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty Westside starting pitcher said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep McConnell out of action for 13 months. This season McConnell has compiled a 10-4 mark with a 2.80 ERA in 16 starts. |
