Bowden 5-for-6 Against Saints Monday, May 31st, 2027 It doesn't happen very often, but it happened for Mark Bowden -- a 5-hit day. He went on a rampage at Saints Ballpark and paced the Cyclones to a 12-2 win over the St. Paul Saints. After his dynamite batting performance the Coney Island third baseman told the press, "I just tried to get myself in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid some great dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Mark Bowden hit an RBI double in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 9th. This season Bowden is batting .292 with 57 hits, 4 home runs, 29 RBIs, .403 OBP and has scored 39 runs. |
